Movie Review: Michael Clayton
George Clooney was nominated for best actor Oscar for his performance in “Michael Clayton”. This was the perfect role for Clooney with perfect script and perfect direction as an added bonus to his fine work. This is a top notch thriller with very strong supporting performances from Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton. The screenplay is riveting as is the action of the movie.
The story revolves around Michael Clayton, an attorney whose job it is to clean up major problems created by his law firm. Clayton has been cleaning up for years for his firm and it is beginning to take its toll. When he answers a late night call to cover up one of the firms senior partners latest problem a series of events leads Clayton into uncharted territory.
The IMDB profile states this is Tony Gilroy’s directorial debut. If so it is one Hell of a debut with direction as good as any well known seasoned film director along with an excellent screenplay.
If you haven’t seen this movie its one you should definitely rent for a great movie experience.
