I was eagerly waiting for this new version of the “Indiana Jones” series to come out on dvd having seen the previous movies in the series. Even though there were some tepid reviews for the movie I thought it was well done all in all. Yes, Harrison Ford is older but he’s just as effective as ever as Indy. Karen Allen returns as Indy’s true love. Shia LaBeouf joins the Indy adventure and does a decent job in the role. There were a few slow moments which seemed more like a need to build out the script than anything else. There seemed to be a lack of clever lines for Harrison Ford which is part of the reason the original movies were so enjoyable. The problems lie more with storyline than the direction of the movie. Plenty of action and some good twists and turns keep the movie interesting. The excellent direction is fast paced by Spielberg and another reason to watch Indy in action again.

Its not of the same caliber of the original movies but fun nonetheless. If you are an “Indiana Jones” fan you should see it, just for old times sake.
