Movie Review: Taken
A retired Secret Service spy must use all his skills when his daughter and her friend are kidnapped while touring Paris, France. Neeson’s character is a divorced father who must compete with a wealthy step-father and difficult ex-wife for his daughter’s affection. When his ex-wife insists he allow his daughter to go to France he reluctantly agrees to let her travel with a friend. This thriller has a good storyline with excellent acting by Neeson and a good supporting cast. Having Neeson as the lead helps make the movie much better, his acting brings a reality to the fear any parent might face when a child is in trouble.
This is a fairly good thriller that will keep you interested. “Taken” is full of twists and action with no dull moments and a reasonably good screenplay. There is quite a bit of violence and intrigue along the way and the location scenes give the movie a nice atmosphere. If you like Liam Neeson and enjoy thrillers this movie will not disappoint.
