Movie Review: Due Date
Peter Highman is in a rush to get back to LA for the birth of his first child. When aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay picks up Peter’s luggage containing his wallet and identification by mistake, a series of events causes Peter to end up on the no-fly list. When Peter’s lack of money and identification leaves him stranded at the airport he decides to take a chance and drive with complete stranger Ethan Tremblay to LA, a trip he won’t soon forget.
This is a laugh out loud, twisted comedy with a funny, well written script, expert direction, and perfect casting. Downey Jr. and Galifianakis have an ideal, crazed chemistry between them as unlikely travelers and friends. When you have two highly talented actors who know how to turn a phrase and have amazing comic timing, magic happens on the screen. This is a star vehicle for Downey Jr. and Galifianakis, who make the most of the script and their characters, a movie well worth watching for great comic acting and the strange but hiliarious storyline. If you haven’t seen Due Date yet, add it to your must see movie list.
