Along with Dean Moriarty (played by Garrett Hedlund) and various other characters, he embarks on adventure after adventure. The film starts out with Dean’s cataclysmic arrival in New York City and meeting with Carlo Marx, who is the Roman a clef for fellow beats generation writer Allen Ginsburg.
