Movie Review: The Company Men
Bobby Walker is an up and coming executive who takes risks and makes a lot of money. Walker watches as his company hits hard times during the recession and the foundation of the company begins to crumble. Walker realizes his company has become part the recession problems the country is currently facing, and watches first hand the inequality of high level execs making more money while workers lose their jobs.
Affleck is very good here in one of his better dramatic performances as an executive who must adjust when his career begins to falter. Tommy Lee Jones and Chris Cooper give great performances as true long time company men whose lives are altered forever when their company starts downsizing every department.
This is a watchable film with good performances, solid direction and a film you’ll enjoy for both the story and the performances.
