About BigScreenBytes
My background is one of a typical movie fan. I also happen to have spent twenty plus years involved in theater on stage as an actress. I studied at college locally, performing in productions, children’s theater and summer theater programs, and was then lucky enough to be hired by a Melodrama company in southern California for two seasons. From there I applied to Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (P.C.P.A.) and completed their two year pre-professional acting program. I ended up back in northern California, and moved to San Francisco. I attended evening acting classes at American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and gave it my all in an original musicalĀ produced in San Francisco.
Through the years I performed in over fifty plays and musicals including Godspell, Music Man, Judas, The Sandbox, Ubi Roi, Man of La Mancha, Candide, Our Town and Blythe Spirit. I was often cast in comedy and musical roles although I feel I have an affinity for drama. I do know what timing is all about in acting, having good comic timing (or so I’ve been told).
My life isn’t quite as exciting as it was years ago during my theater days but I continue in every way to be fascinated by acting, actors and a wide variety of movies.
I hope you enjoy my “short bytes” reviews of current and past movies.
